"Pedestrian brings a souped-up combo of old-school rock with modern-day zing."

BOULDER WEEKLY

"The intricate, sharp-edged dream rock of L.A.'s Pedestrian blends songwriter/singer/guitarist Joel Shearer's bent, tearful voice with guitar solos that reach for the dark sky and ecstatic drums tumbling through frantic yet melodic songs. The verdict: the most beautiful sounding pain to come out of Los Angeles in a long time ."

SANTA BARBARA INDEPENDENT

"I'm not sure naming a band "Pedestrian" is a smart move...but the Los Angeles trio in question is anything but."

Los Angeles' PEDESTRIAN

Begin North American Tour in September

• Trio opening for Damien Rice in US & Canada

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 27, 2003) - Lyrics that bleed emotion, frenetic guitar, embracing harmonies, driving rhythms and tender moods comprise PEDESTRIAN .   The Los Angeles trio is opening for Damien Rice on his north American tour beginning September 10 th .

PEDESTRIAN brings together two childhood friends who share the same ideals.    Guitarist Joel Shearer (Alanis Morissette, The Ben Taylor Band, Alexi Murdoch) and drummer Kane McGee (Radford) have spent their lives performing music.   A desire to write and develop their own sound drove the pair to form a band.

"I wanted to start a band, a trio, with a huge sound and play rock guitar," said Joel.   "Immediately I thought of Kane, so we talked about music, concepts and it just made sense.   PEDESTRIAN was born."

PEDESTRIAN has a dynamic stage presence that has mesmerized audiences from large venues to intimate clubs.   Their self-titled disc is a reflection of mood and sensuality mixed with incredible musicianship.   Released independently, it has been picked up by various outlets around the world.   July 2003 found PEDESTRIAN on their first television broadcast in Spain!

Fresh from the summer tour, PEDESTRIAN is excited to rejoin Damien Rice for the fall.   Be sure to catch them!   For more information, please visit www.pedestrianmusic.org or press contact Lisa Pardini, Archer Media, 310-739-6465.
